- Fresh parsley (optional)
- Egg yolk (for brushing)
- Milk (for brushing)
- Oregano (optional)
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and oil with hot water. Mix everything well until it forms a dough.
2️⃣ Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth. Let it cool slightly before rolling it out with a rolling pin. Don’t roll it too thin.
3️⃣ Spread butter over the dough and then roll it up using your fingers. Cut the rolled dough into pieces about one finger’s width apart.
4️⃣ Roll each piece into a round shape.
5️⃣ For the filling: Add grated cheese and fresh parsley (or any other filling of your choice, like shredded chicken).
6️⃣ Carefully seal the edges of each round to form a closed pastry.
7️⃣ Place the pastries on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg yolk and a little bit of milk. Optionally, sprinkle oregano on top.
