I discovered the secret behind KFC’s fried chicken – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, a true delight.

Crispy Fried Chicken (KFC Style)
Ingredients:
For seasoning the chicken:
- 500g of chicken (chopped chicken breast)
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon of paprika
- Salt to taste
For the batter:
- 2 eggs
- Garlic powder to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup of cornstarch (or corn flour)
- 500 ml of water
- 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- A pinch of salt
- Paprika to taste (traditional, smoked, or spicy)
For coating:
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- More salt to taste
Instructions:
- Season the chicken with lemon, paprika, and salt, mixing well.
- Prepare the batter: Beat the eggs with garlic powder, salt, and cornstarch, then add water and all-purpose flour, mixing until smooth. Add paprika to taste.
- For coating, mix all-purpose flour with salt. Dip the chicken in the batter, then coat it in the seasoned flour, ensuring it’s fully covered.
- Heat oil (not too hot) and fry the chicken until crispy and golden. Do not fry with cold oil to avoid sogginess.
