Fluffy Fruit Bread

Instructions:

  1. Mix the egg, milk, melted butter, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Gradually add the flour until the dough reaches the right consistency.
  3. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let it rise until it doubles in size.
  5. Roll out the dough, cut it into squares, and shape them into balls.
  6. Place them in a round baking pan and let them rise for another 10 minutes.
  7. Brush with beaten egg yolk mixed with a little milk.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30 to 40 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and let it cool before serving.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 250 ml milk
  • 90 g melted butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 15 g dry yeast (1 packet + 5 g)
  • 580 g flour (add gradually)
  • Candied fruits or chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 beaten egg yolk with a little milk (for brushing)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

This bread is super soft and resembles panettone, but without the characteristic aroma. 😊
